Dynabuddy has propelled both my sons' reading skills as well as enriched their music making activities. The Dynabuddy instructions are very straight-forward and easy to follow. The videos progress in a fun and didactically sound manner. What I especially like is the integration of passages where the student is asked to once read/play a passage and, on a repeat, to sing the part, and to then play it on their instrument one more time. I also enjoy listening to them playing their part along to a musical piece, arranged for a duet or trio. This helps them distinguish their part from another one that they have to sync up to - it's not just playing random notation to a metronome. They are making music and learning lots in a well-structured system that seems to be fun for them, too.

Dynabuddy has been an excellent tool for learning percussion for my middle-school-age daughter. There are hundreds of lesson videos that are easy to follow and repeatable, and this has allowed her to progress at her own pace. In addition, Dynabuddy is so user-friendly that my first grader has been able to navigate the site and is learning to play the xylophone.
